Which engine oil is good to use?

Thinking of using 0w-20 but curious if anyone else is using a dfferent one on their 4runners.. any input will be appreciated

Depends on the year and engine, but if Toyota spec'd 0W-20, you're good sticking with it. Some guys run 5W-30, especially in hotter climates or high mileage rigs, but unless you're towing heavy or off-roading hard, it's probably not worth it. What year's your 4runner?

I agree with @CityOnTheHill, you most likely need to stick with the 0W-20 on this one. Where are you based? Or like what do you do with your car? If you do heavy sht you can definitely try the 5W-30. What's your reason anyway are you experimenting or like, you live in hot regions like the guy mentioned?

guys, he says he's thinking of using that 0w-20 crap that manufacturer recommend these days, meaning he's probably on 5w-30 in which case i say stick with what you're using now
