Button combination to remote start 2023 4Runner Limited?

I have a 2023 4Runner Limited with the JBL Premium Audio system. I was trying to get the factory remote start feature to work using the key fob. I saw a video that said the key to having this feature is the SiriusXM logo on the head unit, which my dash has down on the bottom right. The video showed a sequence of button presses on the key fob and I was able to get it to work exactly once, but it only ran for about 30 seconds before it shut off. After that, I couldn't get the sequence to work again. Does anyone know the reliable button combination for this? And is the 30-second run time normal? I thought it was supposed to run longer. Any tips would be appreciated!

This is a fun technical puzzle and a common point of confusion for new owners. The correct button sequence for the fob is to press the lock button twice quickly, then press and hold it a third time until the lights flash. The key fob remote start is not a lifetime function. It's tied to your Toyota Remote Connect subscription. If the trial or paid subscription expires, the key fob will no longer be able to remotely start the vehicle. The short runtime you experienced is a classic symptom of a failed authorization check. The answer may be in your Toyota app. Have you logged in to see your Remote Connect subscription status? @f64rSeth_
