4runner trims

Let's say I decide to get a new 4runner, can someone explain to me what each trim means and which one is good for what?

but here's a quick rundown:
sr5 - base model
trd sport - on road, sporty appearance
trd off-road - trail-ready
trd off-road premium - trail-ready but with added comfort
limited - luxury oriented, some off-road capability
trd pro - most hardcore off-road trim!!

@mr.v007's breakdown covers it well, and thanks for laying it out cleanly. If you're leaning toward trail use and want crawl control or multi-terrain select, make sure the trim includes those features. Have there been any updates since? Have you gone for a test drive or ruled out certain trims?
