Should I bring my 5th Generation to the dealership for drain & fill?

Mine is a 2014 4Runner TRD Off-Road that I got secondhand at a local auto dealer. It's only got 53,000 miles on it which is very low for a car from that year. I wanted to do a drain and fill of the transmission fluid but I'm not sure if the previous owner did do this already without proper documentation and used aftermarket fluid to fill it in. What if I put ATF-WS in? Are these gonna mix or make something corrode or is this dangerous? Please help as I'm extremely nervous. Is it still safer to go to the dealership (where I picked it up) and have it checked? So that I'll be able to document the succeeding ones because the previous ones? No idea at all/

if you don't know what fluid is in there already it's best to be cautious toyota's atf-ws is the correct fluid for your 4runner but if the previous owner used something else mixing fluids could cause issues like slipping or rough shifting the safest way is to take it to a shop or dealership that can do a full fluid exchange instead of just a drain and fill that way you get rid of any old or unknown fluid completely if you still want to do just a drain and fill check the fluid color first if it's dark or burnt smelling you might be better off with a full change instead of slowly diluting it over time

Draining and filling the transmission fluid is important. bring it to the dealer is great, they can do it properly and give the best standard product for the car
