How cool is Dex-cool?

I tried to go for a catchy title. Anyway, so I brought my 2025 4Runner to the dealer for some checking and I availed some of their fluid services, that includes a coolant flush. Found out that they used Dex-cool after running a cleaner through the radiator. AC Delco's site says to change Dex-Cool every 2 years/30,000 miles if the car didn't originally use it. My Toyota manual just says to use something similar to OEM. so now i'm scratching my head trying to figure out which one to follow

I guess my question is if i should I just let it ride and swap it back to OEM in two years or call the dealer to check this with them?

Mixing Dex-Cool with Toyota's HOAT coolant is like mixing oil and water, it can cause real problems. I'd call that dealer right away to get their take on it. You don't want a gunked up cooling system down the road.

oyota's systems are designed around their own red or pink long life coolant, and mixing types...even if they kinda meet the same specs can cause problems around corrosion or buildup.
Personally, I'd call the dealer and ask why they used dex cool instead of the correct stuff, I'd probably run it for a short interval like a year or less, then flush it back to OEM coolant

Yeah, if I were in this situation I'd like to know why in the hevens would someone decide to put collant made for GM engines in a Toyota? I'd ask for a flush and replacement, it's a brand new vehicle
