Noisy fan issue, 2017 4Runner

Noticed recently that the fan for the ac and heater in my car has gotten noticeably louder. It still blows fine through all speeds and the air coming out is cold or hot as expected, but there's this constant loud whooshing or droning sound even on the lower settings, it doesn't seem like kind of issue that will arise due to something being in the vent, more like the blower motor itself is just noisier than it used to be
So guys, is this a common issue or what should I be checking please, I dont like to be stressed, car troubles are always the worst for me

Can you pinpoint the noise? If it's coming from the vent's it probably loose ductwork or plastic. If it's behind the dash it could be the motor. If it's the motor, it's either some dirt or it's the bearings. Try to listen carefully so that you know what to go after

Yeah like it would be better if we could hear the noise, right? Honestly @Laura.B there are lots of things that could go wrong in a car and lots of things that could cause strange noises. It's just a matter of figuring the sound out for real.

I would also suspect your blower motor rather than something stuck in the vents. Often it's the bearings in the motor starting to go, or sometimes the fan cage can get a bit unbalanced. That's pretty common as cars age and replacing that should be a straightforward job.
