4Runner VS GX460 comparison

My FiL & MiL have been very nice to me since the first time my wife introduced me to them (15 years ago). Next month is their anniversary and I want to buy them a car.

My wife wants me to buy them a GX460, but I think FiL would love a 4Runner.

What do you think guys, which one is better? I know the GX is more expensive, but is it worth it? All insights are welcome!

The GX460 is luxurious but the 4Runner has that adventurous edge that might suit them even better. But this is just me!

look right, both are real good, the GX460 is smoother and more luxurious, great if they like comfort but 4runner is more rugged and simple, so its better if your FiL enjoys a hands on, outdoor kind of vibe, in summary yeah, basically there's no wrong pick, just depends on their style.

Make sure you're not being forced to buy that. It's gonna be a topic of disagreement if not.

Both choices are rock solid, but it depends on your father-in-law's vibe. The GX460 is like the fancy, comfy suit, smooth, and classy, while the 4Runner is the rugged, 'let's hit the trails' kinda ride. If he's into luxury, go for the GX, but if he's more about getting down and dirty on an adventure, the 4Runner's your pick.
