Looking to buy this 2012 4Runner with 146k miles on it. Everything looks fine, exterior/interior, engine etc. My problem is that the seller is a few hours away from where I'm at, and I wouldn't like to set another meet up for another inspection coz its too costly for the both of us and the seller is quite old. My problem is, the car is kinda old and 146k miles is high to me. Any advice at all?

You can refer to 'Chris Fix' on youtube, its a channel. He's got real good list of what to check and ask when buying old used cars.

146k isn't crazy high if itwas well cared for, but I get the hesitation, especially with distance involved. Maybe ask for a recent full service record or a mechanic's inspection report before committing.

Ask the seller for cold start video, undercarriage shots, and a walkaround with it running. This is on top of what @just tommy here listed down. Bring a mechanic!
